Leaders should have integrity (Psalm 78: 72)-72. So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.David, the chosen Servant of Christ was filled with the Holy Spirit; and so he was blessed by God with the integrity and ability to lead the people and offer provisions; guiding them skillfully; with his hands. God's leaders should be people of integrity.
May God bless you with the ability to live a life of integrity today, tomorrow, and forever until the day of Jesus' return. Amen.
When we see ourselves in a situation where we're being persecuted for the cause of Christ, we can have the certainty that we will be blessed in all trial and tribulation especially for the cause of Christ. Many times we face rejection from peers, whether it be at school, work, or community; those who do not understand God's way will often see His Children as evil because they do not agree or share our views; the LORD will BLESS US! Stay faithful, rejoice! For the LORD'S love and acceptance supersedes any other!
We should never opt to repay evil for evil, because we become exactly what we've been working not to become; we (God's Children) do not want evil in our lives no matter how badly other's deal with us, we can never succumb to the dealing of the godless.
The LORD be with you and guide you all the days of your life! Amen!
We should never be tired of doing the right thing spiritually, mentally, physically.. we should have the mind of Christ. When we have the mind of Christ, we will do the right thing... God bless and the Lord's peace be with you! Amen!
Do not associate with hypocrites-(Psalm 26: 4)-I do not spend time with liars or go along with hypocrites. The Church does not associate with vain persons, or dissemblers. This is a person who professes beliefs and opinions that he or she does not hold in order to conceal his or her real feelings or motives. The reason the Church does not associate is because the Church lives in the Spirit and in truth. They can not co-exist with deception or falsehood.
We should be glad to share our home with those in need of food and lodging. God has granted us the ability to do this in confidence when they are sent by Him in faith. We should be very confident and generous in this because it is a gift from God to be this way. And according to our gift, we should exercise them in a way that reflects God. If we are called to do something we should do it with all our hearts, strength and ability. And people will see this example, and give God glory for it. They will know that it was God himself that sent you. We can do nothing apart from God. So the glory is His and His only forever and evermore. Amen.
I hope these verses help to clarify your questions on hope, and that it strengthens the hope you have as believers all over the world. May the LORD continue to bless you, guide you, and protect you until His return! Amen!
I hope this study is as beneficial to you as it is to me. We all need to be reminded of what God requires of His Church. Let us continue to practice honesty in our lives for continued growth and blessings for our lives and the lives of those who surround us. Until the next study, may the Lord bless you all, stay true. Amen.
***This verse clearly states that man should not lie with man, and woman should not lie with woman. This is an abomination to the LORD.
What this means is that if we part take, or practice any of the things described in these passages, we can expect not to be saved, in other words, we cannot call ourselves God's children,or claim that we will enter heaven living in these conditions. We must get to a place in our lives where we take a stand and decide within our hearts to no longer practice these thing out of Love for our God. When we do this, we are showing Him that we LOVE Him, and not ourselves to go on living the way we think we ought to. I hope this study clarifies any uncertainty with respect to this subject. These are very clear and concise verses on the subject of homosexuality. We hope they are as much a blessing to you as they have been to us. Have a blessed week everyone!
Let us bow our heads and pray:
"Heavenly Father we come to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ giving thanks for your Son, Salvation, and Your Word today and everyday. We pray that your Holy Spirit would pour out your blessings and help us to grow in those areas that desperately need improvement. We ask that you cleanse us by the blood of Christ that was shed for our sins on the cross at Calvary. We pray that your Word continue to teach, correct, and guide us in Your righteousness, so that we may live forever with You in Your Kingdom. And we bless your name for all you have done for us! May you bless your Leaders to continue to live by Your Word, and be a blessing to those in need. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen!"
This is a catch up to the studies that we have been studying for the last several weeks. Here you will find the subjects, descriptions, and books in the bible pertaining to each. Please be sure to read them on your own, and contact us should you have questions or concerns. We hope you are as blessed as we are in these studies, as weekly we feel God's many blessings, and hope you do too.. God bless you!
Today's lesson is the power of the believer through our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ who has given us the power and authority over even the most difficult of situations. This chapter shows that our words have life when spoken in the name of Jesus. We have the ability given by God to speak prophetically; to prophecy over any life, and win victory over Satan and his tactics. The power of the LORD is so great that when accompanied by faith, will receive the most amazing results!!! The dead shall live again; the sick shall be healed, the blind will again see..the list goes on and on..there is nothing impossible for our God, therefore there is nothing impossible for God's Children. This chapter is a reminder for any Christian struggling with weariness, or discouragement in their walk of faith. We hope that it is as much a blessing to you and your loved ones as it is to ours. So, when you're going through a rough time in faith, family, love, friendship, work relations, and you feel you will not be able to go on, or are losing hope, remember this chapter..repeat it out loud if you need to, take heart, and don't lose faith..keep believing and speaking God's amazing power over your life, and the lives of your loved ones or friends, and speak blessing over it all...the results will shock you! May God continue to bless you all until next time!!
Let us pray:
"Heavenly Father we come to you once again in the name of Jesus, asking that you would be moved greatly to mercy over our lives, and forgive us any offenses we may have committed knowingly, or unknowingly. We ask that you would continue to pour out your blessings over our lives and the lives of our Brothers and Sisters across the globe..that you would send healing over us all.. our hearts and land, that you would bless every aspect of our lives. Please help us to continue to grow, and remember your powerful message in Ezekiel chapter 37; to prophecy blessings and continued victory over our lives and the lives of others all across the world. Father God that your Holy Spirit would be manifested in a very special way, and that chains would be broken all over our Countries. Please send your angels to encamp around us, protect us, and shield us from all evil, malice, and illnesses in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen."
We are not to spread rumors and lies about anyone; at anytime. We should not cooperate with the wicked by lying on the witness stand in any Court house. Gossip and lies are just as bad as murder. We should keep away from gossiping even if what is being said is true.
Christians should not spread slanderous things about anyone at anytime. We should not spread lies about anyone to get what we want. The LORD makes it clear that He is God, and He sees this deception, and they will not go unpunished.
When gossips are spread amongst the Church, it betrays the confidence of the one who shared the secret to begin with. When we refrain from gossiping, people will remain confident in sharing personal matters with us in the future, and we, in turn, will be able to help in the future, which is the primary goal for every Christian. The reason we are here is to help one another. However, we cannot help one another if we are quick to betray one another's confidence, and lose trust. The enemy loves when the Church partakes in gossiping for this reason.
People who make trouble are the ones who plant these seeds of strife. What this means is that they are quick to say and do things that sew discord among brethren. This in turn, can separate the best of friends. The result is hurt, sadness, anger, strife, madness, illness, and the list goes on. People that were intended to have great, and healthy relationships end in misery, separation, even loneliness, and nobody wins this way. Again, the enemy loves this.
What this verse means, is the same way fires burn out for lack of fuel, quarrels, fights, and evil also disappear when the gossiping ends. If we are God's children, we would be careful not to let gossip in, and stop it at it's tracks as soon as there is any sign of it among our congregation. This is the way the LORD wants it.
Gossip is attractive in that when it reaches our ears, most people are immediately drawn into it, not realizing it is extremely bad for them. The enemy knows that anyone partaking in gossip is in as much danger of following him as a person who commits murder. It is a trick of the enemy, to not only separate us from our friends and family, but to separate us from the one true living God. This bad habit needs to end in our Churches. It is a horrible thing to engage in. We should be demonstrating God's love for one another.
When the Church refuses to acknowledge God (deliberately disobeying Him), they are as a non-believer; like someone who has not yet repented of their sins, therefore, can lose their salvation. If we do not follow God, we prove that we are following the enemy. This is evident in people who participate in gossip as well.
In this part of scripture, it's actually referring to young widows in the Church. That is why it is recommended that they re-marry so that they can avoid sin during idle time. Young people with a lot of time on their hands can end up engaging in some of the worst sin. If we look further into scripture, in verses 14 and on, it describes just that. They are recommended to remarry, have children, and occupy their time by taking care of their own homes. This is to prevent the enemy from having anything to say against them.
I hope this study is helpful in clarifying the importance of not engaging in gossip. It is a sure way to end friendships, relationships, and more. Exercising care in this goes a long way among discipleship, and is proven beneficial in any other setting, and in the workplace. It is a sign of weakness both in the Church and in the professional setting. Let us continue to pray for one another and remember to refrain from gossip. God bless you!
In this verse God is telling us believers that we are His witnesses. This shows us that we are able to have knowledge that others do not have. We are His servants. We are here to serve Him. To follow His commands. To lead others to Him. We have been chosen to know Him on a level that no other knows Him. We are chosen to believe in Him. Because not everyone has the ability to believe in Him. We are chosen to have the ability to understand that He alone is God. He alone is the one true God. There never really has been another God, and there never will be another God except the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
We are the light of the world. This shows that the world is living in darkness. We glow so that everyone will see the truth. The LORD does not want us to hide our light under anything that the world presents us with. This could be anything from not living to the fullest capacity of your calling, keeping quiet when instructed by the LORD to speak on something, or being lead by the Holy Spirit to speak to someone, to fear, to secrecy, or anything else stopping you from expressing the gospel to a lost soul, or living out your calling to it's fullest potential. Instead, He wants us to show the world what He has given us. He wants us to treat others the way He would treat them so that they will know that He lives in us. So they will know, and give Him praise for all we do.
At dinner with Matthew the tax collector, The LORD sat with other tax collectors and sinners. The Pharisees didn't understand why, and they were judgemental, or biased in their thoughts towards this. But the LORD does not make exception, or favor one over the other. He loves all the souls. He wants to reach out to everyone from everywhere. He wants the gospel to be preached to every background, culture, language, race. He wants to save the poor, blind, lame, disabled, drunkards, prostitutes, drug addicts, homosexuals, murderers, idolaters, adulterers, fornicators, etc.. He wants us servants to also be merciful to them all, just as He is merciful to us. He does not want our sacrifices. He wants us to live a sound life in submission to the Holy Spirit. And He wants to reach out to all the souls that do not know Him, not the ones who already do. He wants to touch the lives of those who maybe believe perhaps, but, lack the confidence or willpower to take the first steps, receive His free love gift, or get to a Church/place of worship, or to a place where they can grow and learn more of Him. That is who we also need to focus on.
What Jesus is saying is that if we are ashamed to speak the truth about the evangelism that He taught the disciples, and deny that we follow Him, He will deny us before the Father in heaven, and we will not be saved. We should not be ashamed of the gospel. We should speak it boldly before anyone.
What He wants us is to be fishers of men. He wants us to find souls who are also destined to lead in discipleship for His kingdom and glory. He wants us to spread His truth. He also wants us to teach them to obey His commands. Obedience is the key to remaining saved. If we obey Him and do not continue to practice sin, we will be saved. And He wants us to be sure that we know that He is with us every step of the way.
He let his disciples know that when the Holy Spirit comes upon them, that they would receive a special power to speak the gospel and tell about Him everywhere they went. All over the world. He was giving them assurance that He would be with them, and that they didn't need to be afraid to speak the truth that their reward is in His kingdom in heaven.
This is the study on evangelism. I hope it is as useful to you the reader, as it has been to us. Please keep your faith and continue to pray for strength and wisdom in these last days on earth. The LORD BE WITH YOU TODAY AND ALWAYS.. Amen!
This verse clearly states that in order for one to remain saved, they must be in submission to the Holy Spirit. If we believe in God, and claim to be followers of Christ, but, our lives do not reflect Christ, we are found to be liars. So, we must also live the way Christ lived. We cannot continue to practice sin.
This verse describes the destiny of those who live righteously (in submission to the Holy Spirit). They will receive eternal life in Christ Jesus. They will reign in the Kingdom of heaven with their LORD and Savior. But, those who do not, will receive eternal punishment (the second death) in hell along with Satan.
If we believe in Jesus, we are saved. Our faith is necessary for salvation. Without it we are lost.
What this verse is saying is that evil people who do not repent of their sins, and continue to practice them, or die in them will one day have to go before God for judgement. In their judgement the LORD will replay their lives to them like in a movie, and they will be found guilty. The fact that they did not repent will be clearly seen, and they will cast into the lake of fire that burns with fire and sulfur. This decision is forever, and cannot be undone. They will not be able to come back out and live their lives all over. They will not be able to do it differently next time, or get a second chance.
What this verse is saying is that Satan is like a thief. The only purpose he has on earth is to steal, kill, and destroy. He is set completely against the LORD's creation. The LORD's purpose in coming to earth was and is to give life in all its fullness to those who believe, and accept it.
What he was explaining to Martha, is that death is not the end of the life of a person of faith. They will rise and reign forever in God's kingdom. Their souls are only resting until the appointed time.
In this verse, we see that Jesus is the key to the kingdom of heaven. In order for one to go to the Father, they must first have accepted, and received Jesus as their personal savior. If they have not, they are not saved, and cannot go to the Father in heaven.
What this verse is saying to us is that the LORD has chosen us to believe in him. Faith is a gift from God. Not everyone has it. Not everyone believes in the LORD Jesus Christ. Not everyone has the ability to understand His word, and believe. It is a gift from God for those who are a part of the plan of salvation. We cannot take credit for our faith. He has given it to us. Our salvation is not a reward. It is not something that we have earned for being good, or have chosen on our own, but, that God has given us a special favor in that we are actually able to capture his Spirit, and existence in our lives everyday. We are able to hear his word, understand it, receive it, and apply it to our lives through His help in the Holy Spirit. Nothing we have done qualifies us for this. Only by His choice and plan have we been able to hear, accept, and absorb the gospel. To live by it.
God the Father has made a promise to those who believe that they will live eternally in heaven with Him. This promise was made before the world began, because He knows everything before it happens, and He stands by His word.
Jesus' death on the cross actually paid the penalty of our sin. His bloodshed was the atonement that we needed in order to become clean and blameless before God. His bloodshed gives us entrance to the kingdom of God. The moment we believe and accept Jesus as our savior, we become baptized by the Holy Spirit, and joint heirs in His kingdom. This is what reconciles us to God the Father. This is what gives us hope.
I hope this study is helpful in understanding eternal life promised to all who believe in Jesus and accept Him as their Savior. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Without faith, we will not see God. We should submit to the Holy Spirit, and remain in Him. He came to the world to shed light in dark places so that man could see the error of their sinful ways. He was an example to us. We should live the way that He lived. Let us pray: "Heavenly Father, I ask that you continue to give us strength to follow Jesus' example. That we continue to submit to the Holy Spirit, and live for your plan and purpose. Please help us to be more like you." In Jesus' name we pray..Amen.
We the body of Christ should be an encouragement to the underprivileged. We should be doing good to everyone. We should want justice for all. We should help those who are oppressed. Those who deserve fair treatment. We should be defending the orphans. They are innocent, and should be protected. We should fight for the rights of widows. They also are disadvantaged. We should display love for them, as we would love ourselves, and our families.
God gives us encouragement in that, in Him, we will find new strength. When we feel we cannot go on, the LORD gives us strength to keep going. To press on. To live as His Word commands. We will fly on wings like eagles; meaning that we will soar above trials, tribulations, illness, disadvantages. We will be free from slavery to sin, and high in spirits, on His path. We will run and not grow weary; we will never quit fighting the good fight of faith, we will not give up, because we know that He is our reward. We will walk, and not faint; our faith will remain forever in Him. In his ways, we have peace. In His ways, we have strength. In Him, we have comfort. In Him, we are victorious!!
When we are in the Holy Spirit, we have encouragement in that we are peaceful in our hearts. We are able to grow in strength and numbers because we are able to support and encourage one another to remain faithful to Him, and to one another. When believers walk in the fear (respect) of the LORD, they find comfort in the Holy Spirit, and need not fear for their lives, nor the lives of their family. They walk in confidence, knowing that they are pleasing the living God. That His wrath and judgement will not fall upon them at any given moment, they are confident that they are saved, and that they are in His favor.
We should encourage our Brothers and Sisters in Christ. We should live in a way that respects them, and pleases them. If we do this, we are not only honoring God, we are honoring ourselves, and we are honoring our Brothers and Sisters. By doing this, we will build them up. We will encourage them to live in the same way. They will be confident in their walk with Christ. This is very pleasing to the LORD.
As we know, the Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit (God with us). It is written to give us encouragement on our journey in life. It was written to guide us, to teach us the correct way. It is designed to give us hope, and encouragement as we wait patiently for God's promises to be fulfilled. We should be reading it regularly, and growing from it continually, so that we will not grow weary and faint. We should do this daily, so that our faith remains strong.
The way that we make God truly happy is by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other(the Church), loving one another, and working together with one heart and purpose. This is why our position in Christ encourages us. We know that we belong to Him. We know that we have His love. We know that we are living in unity with one another. We know that our hearts are tender and sympathetic to those who do not know him, or who do not have such a close relationship with Him. So, we love them, pray for them, teach them, and encourage them to do the same. That is our mission in Christ. We are encouraged by our position. We know it is good.
We should be encouraging one another with the words written in Scripture, as we know that First, all the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the LORD in the air and remain with Him forever. So, we should find encouragement in this, knowing that our lives, hard work, and dedication is not in vain. Our reward is that we will reign with the LORD forever! Amen!
In 1 Thessalonians 5: 12 it reads: Dear Brothers and Sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord's work. They work hard among you and warn you against all that is wrong. Think highly of them, and give them your wholehearted love because of their work. And remember to live peaceably with each other. We see in this verse that we should be appreciating God's instruction through our leaders. They are set in that position to look after you. We should encourage those who are weak and afraid. Warn those who are lazy, and don't want to do their parts as members of the body of Christ. We should remind them that they have a responsibility. We should encourage those who are timid, teach them not to be shy, teach them that they have the Spirit of the LORD, and that they need not fear. They should feel confident that with Christ, they will be able to accomplish any task or mission they are assigned to. We should be helping all believers and new Christians... (baby Christians). We should have patience with all. We should not give up on any of them. Hope with and for them. Pray with and for them.
We should take care in how we speak to the elders of the Church. The same is true in any setting. We should respect them as if they were our own father. We should treat the younger men as we would our brothers, with love, respect, and humility. We should be doing the same with the women, as if they were our mothers or sisters. This is what pleases God. We should also care for the widows; for they are as vulnerable as a child. (Especially the ones who have no relatives to care for them). When their children and grandchildren are able to care for them, they honor God very much. Their hearts make him proud!! This touches God's heart!
What this means is that we should never be tired of poking at our Brothers and Sisters in Christ, or believers across the world. This pleases God when we care enough about them to remind them even if they get tired of hearing it from us. We should continue to remind them that they should fear God, and not become comfortable in sin, or disobedience. In verse 12 it reads: Be careful then, Brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. We know that those who are deceived by sin, have hearts that become hardened against God like in the story of Moses, and the Pharaoh. We know that king Pharaoh's heart became hardened against God, and this resulted in God's wrath and punishment over Egypt, there was death, plagues, pestilence, and severe punishment as a result. Sin separates man from God. We become God's enemy when we remain in sin. This of course, is not good.
Verse 23 reads: Without wavering, let us hold tightly to the hope we say we have, for God can be trusted to keep His promise. Verse 25 reads: Let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of His coming back again is drawing near. Here we see that God warns His Church to love and encourage one another with good deeds. We should be holding on tightly to the hope we have, knowing that God will keep His promise to His people. We should continue to meet at Church, waiting for His return. We know that all the prophesies written in Scripture are being fulfilled right before our very eyes, wars, rumors of wars, hunger, pestilence, earthquakes, floods, etc... We need to continue now more than ever to live in the way He instructed us to.
May God bless you this and everyday, that your faith and hope grow ever stronger. May you be encouraged by the Spirit of our LORD behind this study-that you continue to be an inspiration to others around you. God bless you!
Let us pray: "Heavenly Father, we thank you for this day and a new opportunity to love one another as your Word commands, that we be given new strength to fly like an eagle and shed your light on others so that they too may come to know you. Bless our Pastors, Missionaries, Evangelists, and Members across the globe so that they too may continue to have increased faith and strength. That they are a blessing to others, and that your Holy Spirit continue to comfort and guide us all for your glory! Amen!"
