Christians should tell others about the gospel (Matthew 28: 18-19)-(The Great Commission) Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been given complete authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
These two verses are a direct command from God to not only his disciples, but, to believers all across the world. It is clear here that Jesus wanted the people of faith to not only tell others about the gospel, but, to win souls for His Kingdom from that time on. Our primary goal is to tell others about the gospel, and the gospel to be spread across the globe. The purpose is to save more souls, so that they will not perish in eternal darkness.
The gospel's message is for everyone (Luke 24: 46-47)-And he said, "Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah must suffer and die and rise again from the dead on the third day. With my authority, take this message of repentance to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem: "There is forgiveness of sins for all who turn to me."
The gospel is for everyone. Everyone who will listen, receive it, accept Jesus' forgiveness, and turn from their sin will be saved. The message is clear, it's that God loved the world so, that He gave His only begotten (human born) Son, so that whoever believeth would be saved and have eternal life in heaven with Christ Jesus.
People should respond to the gospel with faith (John 1: 12)-But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.
What this means is that when we respond to the gospel with faith, it unlocks God's power within our hearts, minds, and souls. We now have become God's children. This is a much greater honor and responsibility than most people think, know, or understand. His Spirit and power is now living within us. We just need to have faith.
The gospel is powerful (Romans 1: 16)-For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes-Jews first, and also Gentiles.
The gospel is powerful. We cannot be ashamed of this Good News! It is God's power at work and is saving all who believe! People from all parts of the world have the right to accept this gift of love and power! They just have to believe!
The gospel of Jesus (1 Corinthians 15: 1-5)-Now let me remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then and still do now, for your faith is built on this wonderful message. And it is this Good News that saves you if you firmly believe it-unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place. I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me-that Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was seen by Peter and then by the twelve apostles.
The gospel of Jesus is that He died on the cross, as a penalty for our sins, rose on the third day, and now reigns in heaven at His Father's right hand. He intercedes for our sins, and through Him we are saved. There is no other way to be saved than by through our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ.
Believing the gospel brings a change to life (1 Thessalonians 1: 4-5)-We know that God loves you, dear brothers and sisters, and that he chose you to be His own people. For when we brought you the Good News, it was not only with words but also with power, for the Holy Spirit gave you full assurance that what we said was true.
God's love for the world is evident in that Jesus came to the world to teach the people the truth about the way they should live and love one another. We know that we are chosen by Him, because we know that faith is not something that everybody has. He chose us to be His. There was and is a power behind the gospel in that those who believe also have the ability to know with a certainty of what is true, and what is false. They are also blessed with spiritual gifts of vision, prophecy, giving, speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues, etc.. We know the truth.
Until next study/blog, have a blessed week and let us pray to God to open our eyes, hearts, and minds, and to further discern his gifts in our lives...and to use them for His honor, glory, and purpose!!! Amen!
God guides us (Psalm 16: 7)-I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
Ask God for guidance (Psalm 25: 4-7)-4Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. 5. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. 6. Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old. 7. Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O Lord.
God will direct you (Psalm 48: 14)-For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.
God works everything out for his plan (Proverbs 16: 4)-The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
God directs events in our life (Acts 16: 6-7)-Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia. Acts 16:7 (KJV)After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.
God gives wisdom for making decisions (James 1: 2-5)-James 1:2 (KJV)My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; James 1:3 (KJV)Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. James 1:4 (KJV)But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:5 (KJV)If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
