Insult

  • Respond properly to an insult (Proverbs 12:16)-16.  A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.
  • God will bless Christians who are insulted because of their faith (Luke 6:22)-22. Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
  • Do not insult others (1 Peter 3:9)-9.  Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
It's (humanly speaking) easy to find yourself in a situation when being insulted to want to lash back at the offender; either by harsh words, actions, or exposing their faults, however, the Lord asks His Servants to be prudent and respond wisely to aggression, attacks, humiliation, or insults.  His wisdom IS GREATER THAN REVENGE.  Though it may seem unrealistic to reply with wisdom, gentleness, meekness, HIS WISE WAY TO DEAL WITH THESE THINGS is better than our way to deal with it.  The reward we will reap is greater than any revenge we can obtain over any difficult situation.  If we remain constant and faithful in prayer, will will obtain HIS strength to be able to properly handle these situations.

When we see ourselves in a situation where we're being persecuted for the cause of Christ, we can have the certainty that we will be blessed in all trial and tribulation especially for the cause of Christ.  Many times we face rejection from peers, whether it be at school, work, or community; those who do not understand God's way will often see His Children as evil because they do not agree or share our views; the LORD will BLESS US!  Stay faithful, rejoice!  For the LORD'S love and acceptance supersedes any other!

We should never opt to repay evil for evil, because we become exactly what we've been working not to become; we (God's Children) do not want evil in our lives no matter how badly other's deal with us, we can never succumb to the dealing of the godless.

The LORD be with you and guide you all the days of your life!  Amen!
