  • God is concerned about our loneliness (Genesis 2: 18)-Genesis 2:18 (KJV) And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
  • God encourages the lonely (1 Kings 19: 14-18)-1 Kings 19:14 (KJV) And he said, I have been very zealous for the Lord God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.  1 Kings 19:15 (KJV) And the Lord said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria:  1 Kings 19:16 (KJV) And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel–meholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.  1 Kings 19:17 (KJV) And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay.  1 Kings 19:18 (KJV) Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.
  • God takes care of lonely people (Psalm 68: 6)-1 Kings 19:6 (KJV) And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.
  • Friends help in times of loneliness (Ecclesiastes 4: 10-11)-Ecclesiastes 4:10 (KJV) For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.  Ecclesiastes 4:11 (KJV) Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?
  • God remains with us (Matthew 28: 20)-Matthew 28:20 (KJV) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Since the creation of the world, God saw that man needed a companion.  Woman was created for man.  To keep him company so that he would not be alone.  They are to work side by side in holy matrimony.  This was the first family and marriage ever.  In this first matrimony, we see how God is concerned about our loneliness.  God encourages the lonely in that even when our loved ones are taken either by illness, accidents, homicide, whatever the case may be, the Lord is zealous in caring for our health, our hearts, He gives encouragement to us in times of loneliness.  His Spirit directs us to a place of healing, comfort, and restoration.  Even when His children abandon His covenant, and fall into destruction, the Lord shows love and mercy towards those who are faithful.  The Lord cares for the lonely people; God's children can be desolate; in a remote place; with not  a soul around; yet, He will care for the needs of His children.  They will not be forsaken.  Friends help in times of loneliness; when you have a companion or a friend, you can help one another.  If one is down, the other can help.  And vice versa.  To have a companion or a friend is a blessing.  God promises to be with His children until the end of the world.  We are never alone.  God's children are never alone even when they are alone physically.  God's Spirit is present always to comfort, guide, heal, bless, and restore His Children.  He is faithful, and true.  May His Spirit guide you forever, Amen.
