  • Be patient with God (Psalm 75: 2)-Psalms 75:2 (KJV) When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.  The LORD chooses the appointed time; He judges with equity.  The LORD is Sovereign.  His will prevails.  He is just.
  • Patience is valuable (Proverbs 25: 15)-Proverbs 25:15 (KJV) By long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone.
Through patience a ruler can be persuaded, and a gentle tongue can break a bone.  What this means is that if you practice patience in your dealings; you can persuade anyone to come to agreement with an idea.  If you are gentle, you can deal with most any situation, no matter how difficult it may be.
  • Patience is better than pride (Ecclesiastes 7: 8)-Ecclesiastes 7:8 (KJV) Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.
The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride.  What this means is that it is always more comforting to see the results of a situation, and it's resolve; it is better to wait and see what is, than to foolishly rush things in pride/ego and possibly destroy a really good thing or project.
  • Patience demonstrates love (1 Corinthians 13: 4)-1 Corinthians 13:4 (KJV) Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
When we have patience, this proves we have love.  Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  What this means is that love waits, endures all things, is good to themselves, and others.  Love does not allow space for envy; wanting what belongs to another.  Love does not allow room for bragging; since we know that the gift of Love comes from God; it is nothing we do on our own.  Having love does not allow room to belittle others, or think yourself above them or situations.  And so having patience for God, yourself and others is also having love for God, yourself, and others.
  • Patience is evidence of the Holy Spirit working in our lives (Galatians 5: 22)- Galatians 5:22 (KJV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, when we practice these things, it is evident that the Holy Spirit of God is working in our lives; it is the proof we need to know that a person has God's Spirit in their heart.
  • Be patient with each other (Ephesians 4: 2)-Ephesians 4:2 (KJV) With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
The LORD commands His Children to be patient with one another.  His word says: "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love."  He basically wants us to love and have understanding for other's faults (low in growth or position) just as He loves us, and has understanding for ours (though He is above us).

We hope you are blessed in these studies as we are.  Until the next study.  Amen!
